    Because the Elite Series 1 controller came out before they introduced bluetooth in their controllers. Almost all of the standard controllers you buy today will have bluetooth like you are saying but the standard controllers that came out before and at
    the same time as Elite Series 1 will not have bluetooth. So that same $50 controller you're referrring to can actually come with NO bluetooth like the $149 one depending on how long your retailing has had it sitting there.

    the elite controller series 2 has Bluetooth compatibility and is therefore compatible with windows 10 too. the first release of the elite controller was before xbox was integrated into windows 10, therefore there was no need at the time for Bluetooth.

    The first gen elite controller does not have Bluetooth as ti was not that popular when it came out. The second gen elite wireless 2 has Bluetooth in it.

    There's no need in name calling. Also it's not just creators who get Elite controllers. I have both iterations and they help me tremendously with gaming...not so much at making me better but allowing me to be able to game longer and with more comfort as
    my arthritis can get pretty awful.
