    XBL is telling me that my region and payment method don't match up


    Hello,

    So, I'm currently unable to buy anything from the XBL store. Whenever I try to pay for something, I get an error message that says "Try a different way to pay or change your Microsoft Store region". The last thing I bought on XBL with my credit card (my preferred
    payment method) was just over a week ago, so why am I just now having trouble buying anything?

    I tried that. All the region and language settings are set to Canada already. Restarting the console from that menu does nothing to solve my problem, and I hadn't changed any of those settings before I had this problem.

    Edit: I also tried deleting and redownloading my gamertag, and I tried deleting and re-adding my credit card info. Neither of those worked.

    Thanks for reaching out to the Forums for advice on how to handle this sort of thing. I can totally see how this could become irksome. If changing your region, your card and your account hasn't positively affected the situation, I suggest straight up contacting

    customer support
    whenever is most convenient.

    When you get the chance, get in contact with them for more account specific troubleshooting and assistance.

    Change your Microsoft store and make sure you have the payment type selected for your region.
