i have changed 3 xbox one and 5 pad 3 headset adapter and the problem exist again.....i am very sick i hate this problem......because if you buy a new xbox and a new adapter must be OK non faulty

yesterday i have change the fifth xbox one and the problem persist again....

with headset adapter sound cut and crakling continuosly....and after that the controller disconnect....

I have the same issue i can hear all my friends but they can not hear me. I have the new controller witch 3.5 mm jack, and i have a Px4 Turtle Beach headset.

I tried every steps on the troubleshooting guide and nothing can help me.

I am in the preview program and the controller is update, but the mic doesn't work.

the headset works fine in PS4, PC, cell phone via wire and bluetooth.

My controller´s firmware is 2.3.2359.2

While I was speaking to support they claimed they had never heard of this issue. Is surprising as Microsoft issued a fox for this problem when it was more prevalent after a dodgy update. I would of thought an issue that has had an article written about it,
and has a support page with hundreds of posts would be noticed by someone that matters. Quimby clearly isn't going do anything, maybe he doesn't have the power to raise this.

I am resigned to this issue not being fixed in the near future, and will now probably just buy an extra long USB cable so I can use the headset. It's absolutely shocking that this is the case. Sadly these issues occur far too often to consumers. Without
being able to physically show the problem to someone with the power to fix it we are left posting futile messages on pages like this. That said, I will continue to check back here incase a miracle happens and Microsoft announces that this issue is real and
will be issuing a fix.

the problem is the range....with headset adapter the range it's about 3 meters... over 3 meters the sound cut off with a lot of clipping a stutter....and the pad disconnect....but with august upgrade it's improove the quality

 

After the last update is much much better!!!

included, where as the original issue described was popping/crackling audio issues. If you are continuing to experience audio issues and haven't already, I recommend trying your console and headset in a different location if possible, as interference may be
the cause of the issue. Items such as metal dividers or shelves can cause interference. Electronic devices such as cordless phones and microwaves can also cause interference. If you have already tried your console in a different location and the issue continues
to occur, I recommend having your console repaired. You can request a repair through our Online Service center. If you experience any issues requesting a repair, you can reach out to phone or chat
support from our Contact Us page for further assistance.

Before requesting a repair, I recommend first trying all of the following troubleshooting steps if you haven't already:

• Make sure that your controller has fresh batteries.
• Update your Xbox One Controller with your headset adapter attached.
  
• Press and hold the power button on your Xbox One console for 10 seconds.
• Once your console is powered off, unplug the power cord.
• Wait 5 minutes and then plug in your console.
• Make sure your headset is firmly plugged into your controller and that your headset's 3.5mm cable is securely plugged in to the head set adapter.
  
• Try using your headset with a different controller if possible to see if the issue continues.
  
• Try connecting your controller with a USB cable.
• Try using your headset with a different device.
• Try using a different headset with your controller.
