X/s icon not showing up on games that are optimized on series x

    I just got a series x and while I see them on some optimized games not at all. For example I downloaded nba 2k21 on game pass and it didn’t show the icon, nor the option for optimization on the store or in my games and apps. Can anybody help

    Hello Xbox community, this is about Xbox series x/s versions of games!

    Because on my Xbox series x, it only shows 'Optimized for series x/s' but if a xbox series x version of a game is NOT 'optimized' how would i know if I'm playing a series x/s version of a game?

    Are you using a Series S/X?

    Series S/X optimized games can only run from the internal SSD or an expansion card made specifically for the Series S/X.

    I have an Xbox X console. Many games optimized for XS series are NOT playable on my console but some others optimized for x series are playable. Is that normal?

    If you have a One X, games that are made only for the Series S/X will not work. Some games are optimized for the Series S/X but were also released on the One and those games will work on a One X.

    It's optimized for the Series S/X, but there's not a separate version for the One and Series S/X. So it'll work.
