    I haven't played with headset for quite a while and unfortunately found today that I can't set the speaker audio from "HDMI audio stereo uncompressed" to "off". As soon as I try to do that there is the error message "0x80bd0009".
    This was definitely possible since release and now seems to no longer be the case.
    I do not play on a TV, but on a monitor from AOC, where you can only turn off the sound on the PC. Playing on the TV is not an option, because otherwise a mute icon permanently moves on the screen.
    I could not find a solution for the problem so far. Therefore, my question: Does anyone know a solution to this problem?

    Then try something stronger!

    The first step in resetting an Xbox is to open the main menu. This can be accomplished in one of two ways:

    Press the home button on your Xbox controller. This is the illuminated button with a stylized X that is centrally located on the front of the controller near the top.

    Alternately, you can press the left bumper until you reach the home tab, and then press left on the d-pad.

    Press down on the d-pad until you reach the gear icon.

    Press the A button to select the gear icon.

    With all settings highlighted, press the A button again to open the settings menu.

    Press down on the d-pad until you reach System.

    Press the A button to open the ​System submenu.

    With console info highlighted, press the A button again.

    Press down on the d-pad to select reset console.

    Press the A button to select this option and move to the final step.

    Press left on the d-pad to select Reset and keep my games & apps. Then press the A button. This is the less thorough of the two options, as it only resets the Xbox One firmware and settings without touching your games and apps. Try this first, as it allows you to avoid downloading everything all over again.

    I found someone else on Reddit having the same sound issue recently (presumably since the last update)..this is the solution they presented (no clue if it works or not):

    "Found a workaround, but man is it a HORRIBLE KLUDGE.

    I had to set the video (for some damn reason) to Manual instead of auto. Changed it to HDMI.

    Then changed audio to Bitstream out, which basically muted the monitor audio."

    The reset did not help either.

    My friends have the same problem since the last patch.

    All of them have to turn off the sound of monitors and TVs when playing via headset.

    I haven't experienced the issue myself with my headset or T.V, but seeing that other users have the issue then it might mean the update did something to mess up some users setups!
