    Hi

    My children hardly use the xbox but yesterday, some white oily liquid start coming out of the USB front port. Then the top of the ventilation start to smell burnt.

    When I lifted the xbox, there was oily liquid at the bottom. I know there was no liquid spill on the xbox as I saw it happen in front of me.

    Then the xbox stopped working.

    We only had the xbox for 1 year and 2 months and the xbox was hardly in use. It is now out of warranty when I try to get it serviced probably by only a few months.

    Xbox One producing weird oily liquid?

    My xbox one is leaking also... it looks like fresh motor oil when wet and drys white like milk. seeped through the bottom. The usb port on left side has a corrosive green rust in it also. Wouldn't touch this stuff if i were you.

    Hi there all if your console is leaking fluids i would contact customer support 800-4my-xbox. Thats not normal for liquids to come out of electronic devices.

    Unfortunately the warranty just run out by 2 months even if we hardly use the box before. If we had used the box regularly, then it would probably have failed within 2 months and we could have it fixed then.

    There are no parts in the console that use any kind of fluid.

    Most likely something was spilled on the console prior to this even and the console heating up caused the dried liquid to heat up and liquefy once more, this would also explain the smell.

    Unfortunately, CartopBonsai699 is correct. The only solution to this situation is to send the console in for a repair. To see what options exist outside of the warranty be sure to reach out to the
    chat team!

    While the warranty is up they will be able to provide repair options that may meet your needs!

    Water leak from my xbox one

    as above, impossible for it to leak clear fluid when there is no clear fluid in the console, even if a capacitor leaked it would not come out where you state and is not clear and is not enough to even leak out.

    my guess is water has been introduced to the vent at the top, seen lots like this.

    I would ask the kids; I have had a child spill water in one of my older ones before.
