    1. If you have a stereo headset adapter, plug it into the bottom of your controller so it can also get updates.

    2. If you're using a stereo headset adapter, plug in a headset (a headset must be plugged in so the adapter will turn on).

    3. Press the Xbox button  to open the guide, select Profile & system > Settings > Devices & connections > Accessories, and then select the controller you want to update.

    4. On the Xbox Wireless Controller screen, select “…” to check the firmware version for your controller.

    5. If it says “Update,” select Firmware version, and then follow the steps provided.

    Unfortunately the Venom Headset XT is not compatible with the xbox one without an official xbox stereo headset adapter.

    You can get a headset adapter at your nearest game store or right at this link
