X box live gold vs game pass

My kids had x box live last year , then We had a trial of game pass. I have just bought a new x box live subscription for 12mths. My son now tells me he can no longer access the games as he had accessed them on game pass. Anyone know if i can change and cancel /upgrade to game pass. And costs. Cant get hold of anyone at x box.

There are a couple of things you can do. You can buy 1 month of Game Pass Ultimate which would convert the remaining Gold time to Ultimate as well giving you both Gold a d Game Pass. Or you can go to http://account.microsoft.com to cancel the Gold subscription and the. You can purchase a regular Game Pass subscription.

Game Pass is a subscription (Xbox Live Gold is a subscription as well).

Once any of those subscriptions end you can no longer play any game that you don't outright own but had a license to use while a subscription was active.

Your best deal in any case is IMHO using Game Pass Ultimate because it combines the features of the standard Game Pass AND Xbox Live Gold PLUS. It allows you as an added bonus access to EA games (through EA play) and to play Game Pass games that are available for a PC.

You can convert an existing Gold subscription into a Game Pass Ultimate subscription.
