X Box Fortnight account

I bought a second x box for my kids and now they each have their own user names. Now for our issue, they played on the same user name for a long time, but my youngest played mainly fortnight and my older several other games and he doesn't really play fortnight.
Is there a way for my younger son to use the other user account for fortnight only without making his older brother log off the xbox? This isn't really about a user name as much as it is accessing the skins and other items he has accumulated over time, or
is there a way to transfer items accumulated under one account to another account?

It’s because the gamer tag is used for signing in and out of the Xbox but also for the epic games account because when you first set it up it automatically makes it that way through epic games. What you can do is do it through epic games website, you can
sign in to the account on their website and try changing it like that I’ve had that same issue before with both my sons and it works for me. If that doesn’t work you can also contact them by email but they don’t really have a contact number for customer service.

Hi my son has been trying to load Fortnight for a week now and is getting the error message 'unable to sign in to xbox live' try and again later. We have un installed Fortnight and signed out of xbox live fully and signed back in and reinstalled but the
same error message.

Any help on what we can do.

Sorry to hear there is an issue launching Fortnite. Can you post the error code you are receiving (Is this the only game having issues)? Also, there was a service alert that was affecting account(s), so recently users had to uninstall the account and re-install
them.
