    Hello Guys, I have been getting E102 error on my xbox1 for few days. Kids are going nuts so I need to fix this. I have tried all the basic troubleshooting like holding the BIND/EJECT, turning off and on but no luck. It goes to 'preparing console do not
    power off' but then it gives error 'Something went wrong' I

    want to start again from scratch by factory resetting it. I read the Microsoft instructions for 'How to factory reset your xbox using usb flash drive' (see below)

    Step 1: On your computer
    1. Plug your USB flash drive into a USB port on your computer.
    2. Click the following link to download the reset file to your computer. This compressed file contains the files needed to reset your Xbox One console to factory defaults:
    step 2 BUT THERE IS NO LINK I CAN CLICK ON!!!!

    Thanks for the update on the issue with the E102 error. The troubleshooting article:

    How to reset your Xbox One console to factory defaults using a USB flash drive

    Try this:

    Step 1: On your computer

    1. Plug your USB flash drive into a USB port on your computer.
    2. Click the following link to download the reset file to your computer. This compressed file contains the files needed to reset your Xbox One console to factory defaults:
      the following hyperlink - is the file, this will pop up a message with - Do you want to open or save
      FactoryReset.zip (20.7MB) from download.microsoft.com?
      Restore Factory Defaults
    3. Click Save to save the console update .zip file to your computer.
    4. To unzip the compressed file, right-click on the file and then select
      Extract all       from the pop-up menu.
    5. Copy the $SystemUpdate file from the .zip file to your USB flash drive.
    Note The files should be copied to the root directory, and there shouldn't be any other files on the flash drive.

    1. Unplug the flash drive from your computer.

    If the issue persists, try a different PC or try restarting your PC.

    Give this a try and let us know the results.

    Thanks for the reply and update on the issue with the E102 error on the Xbox One.
    For any device issues, there are two ways to set up a repair:

    For an Xbox One, Xbox One S console repair, $159.99 +tax.

    so I tried Factory resetting this box and doing Offline System Update but none of this helps. At the end I get an error saying 'Something went wrong'. Most of the times, I don't even see XBox reading the USB stick at all while I am holding the BIND button.
    Also, I do not hear 2 beeps while I am trying to factory reset it.

    Do you have anything else I can try?
