Wrongfully perma-banned for a hackers wrongdoing

Back in late 2018 I had my Xbox account hacked, it was nothing too serious as I got my account back within the next day. I had to write a bunch of information to prove I was in fact the account owner but I digress.

Yesterday ( April 13th) I was declared permanently banned for “engaging in cheating.”

Later down the mail it mentioned gamerscore tampering but it sounded very scripted so it’s inconclusive.

After I got my account back it had changed drastically, my gamerscore had increased to around 300,00 gamerscore and my gamertag was changed. I never brought any of this to Microsoft’s attention and didn’t really think much of it. As of 22 I have for the past 4 months been playing Skyrim ( a single player game ) which begs the question;

“ how can my appeal be rejected due to me cheating in games when I have not engaged in online activities for well over six or so months.

In the notice of enforcement letter it reads;

“Cheating disrupts the game for other players, and diminishes their hard work and dedication. Xbox Live should be fun and safe for everyone and cheating results in an unfair and unenjoyable experience. To ensure that players continue to have a positive experience, we cannot allow cheating in any form.”

Disrupts who’s game? The only person this disrupts is me, I hardly play online games anymore and if I do I have certainly not tried gaining any unfair advantages over others.

Should I be condemned for what someone else did on my account that happened years ago? No, but apparently Xbox does what they see fit, even if that means “taking actions” of something that happened back in 2018, which mind you I was account hijacked!

Not to mention, with this change I have had all my friends list wiped, I cannot communicate with most of my older friends anymore which is really sad and commendable of Xbox.

I can’t send in another appeal for this permanent action and will either reside to using my spare account or selling my Xbox, I am quite hopeless with seeing my 8 year old account ever again.

Does anyone know anything I can do?
