    I have a frequent malfunction with my xbox x on my LG C26 77" OLED (both bought end of 2022). FW of the two devices always up to date.

    After turning the xbox on the resolution on the screen is 640x400, as can be seen in the attachments. It happens almost every day. I have to restart the xbox several times until the resolution is eventually 4K(120FPS). Needless to say that this is quite annoying.

    I have bought some high quality HDMI 2.1 cables (gold plated) for the various devices and I have tried all of them with xbox including the one provided with the xbox. No differences between the cables.

    I meant any features the TV has that enhances quality. So turn them all to off and then boot the console.

    Hi Kris,

    do you mean turning off the HDR feature in the TV, turn on the xbox and then turn the HDR on again? Yes I can try.

    Consider however that the malfunction is random: sometimes it starts at 4k and sometimes not

    Sorry to hear you are having issues. Are the any picture settings on the TV that could causing issues? You could try turning off any features to enhance the picture quality such as HDR that sort of thing to see if it boots straight into 4K.

    I bought a LG 27UD69-W , I must HDMI Ultra Deep Color "ON" for 4K resolution...

    Xbox series X and LG C2 problems.

    My new Xbox came an hour ago. Happy to report no low resolution issues on this console.

    Including my new Xbox, my brother's Xbox and my ps5 that's now 3 consoles that have no resolution issues connected to my LG C2.

    Do you still think it's the TV motherboard that needs replacing??

    It does appear to be the original first edition Xbox series x that has the fault.

    No wonder LG aren't so eager to do this.
