    Wrong Avatar/Gamertag except in Xbox App


    Whenever I change my avatar in the editor, it only affects the mainline Xbox services (xbox.com, Xbox Windows 10 app, the start menu). It
    currently this     (onedrive jpg OR click on gamertag on the left), and changes automatically after using the Editor app

    In ANY (and Every) game, however,
    the avatar is is the original one     that was randomly generated when I logged into windows 8 on a different computer a long time ago (problem also exists there). It does not change regardless of reinstalling windows, using other computers (which "Restore
    Files" when you install an app), or using the Editor.

    purchasing avatar items for a non-xbox live account

    The account does need to be connected to XBox Live in order to purchase avatar items (and it does have to be her account as avatar items are not available to any gamertag except the purchasing gamertag). However, you can connect her gamertag to XBox Live
    with a free silver account and access the avatar marketplace without issue.

    this is correct they are being added to the xbox app in windows 10 and as far as I heard it will be in the xbox in some fashion with the redesign they also opened the avatar stuff up for L: id@xbox with the new update so some avatar games should be coming out

    On the Xbox one go to profile, select customise and you can edit your gamertag and avatar from there. You can also use the Xbox Avatar app on the Xbox too.

    You can to profile and hit customize and hit change your gamertag from their, you will have to pay though. As for avatars, you can edit your avatar through the avatar app on xbox or pc

    hum.... have you tried to change your gamer pic, gamertag and or avatar in a xbox one or Xbox app for windows 10? you can change your picture for xbox one and mainly everywhere else. (I am assuming that the gamertag change worked)

    another thing you can do is download the Xbox Avatars app from the Windows Store:

    see if that would make it wake up for the changes.
