Would reseting my Xbox Series S remove game sharing?

As the title states I am going to reset my Xbox Series S in an attempt to reset it's cache, I am having troubles with installing Red Dead Redemption 2 on my external and that was one of the suggestions to fix my problem. But that suggestion leads to another problem I am having, would doing this remove the home xbox on the profiles that are homed on this console?

    :)

    Hi,

after a soft factory reset (without deleting the games) you have to download your profile anew. While doing so you will be asked if you want to keep your old settings.

But that is only for your main account with the sub.

You will have to download the other profiles too and chech manually if the settings are like you want them to be. But if I remember it right they should be the same like before.

Hello, Seán H. I'm Arturo, and I'll be glad to provide assistance with your inquiry.

No, resetting your Xbox doesn't remove the Home Xbox feature. Just make sure to add again the account you used to enable this setting.

I want to buy a Series S, but can my family use Gamepass/Live on this & our Xbox One?

You can only share on 1 console at a time. So they would still be able to use your games/subscription on the One if you leave it as your Home and you can sign in and use them on the Series S, but they wouldn't be able to use them on the S unless you're signed in or set it as your Home (which would remove the sharing from the One).

Making my Home Xbox not working.

I have this exact issue. His is my setup:

My son has a One S

    I have a Series X

I was able to set the One S as my home xbox

I added his account to the Series X. Went to setting and then to my home xbox. At first, it is checked, then I get the circle, and the check mark is removed. Click on make this my home xbox on the Series X using his account, the circle spins, and then back to the "unchecked" box.

Checking his (One S), my account still has that xbox as my home xbox.

Reset networking, reset MAC address, flushed ARP cache on my switch and router, restarted all of those devices, and reset the Series X (both hard power cycle and factory reset). No luck.

Is it due to his account technically being a Xbox One profile and mine a Series X?

Also, my son's account is a child account but, unrestricted.
