Work around to losing progess on a game. Ill Explain

First thing first i have not have internet for close about 2 years. never had a problem offline till 3-4 months ago

I have been playing batman arkham knight for a while now. a few months back i started to lose my game saves. i would play for 3-4 hours just to come back load the game and all the work was gone. What really made me notice is when i was playing fallout 4
and the crosshair for my gun was gone. so i loaded and reloaded games after games saves. the soft reboot and tried hard reboot. even tried the hold he the power button and reset or clear the cache however you wanna say it.

I figure out that when ever i unlpugged my xbox from the wall and moved in the another room the time and date stamp where change back to the factory time and date. in my case it was sept. 24 2015. and for a while i could not figure out till i went through
every single setting till i found the problem. It was the time stamp on the console. everytime i unplugged it from the wall the time would change.

Like i said i tried everything i can find, watching video and reading a lot of forums.

i every tried calling support and using online support. they were more confused than me.

Like i said playing batman i was 85% complete. had to move my xbox to another room. when i plugged everything back in and booted and loaded the back i was back at 79%. i was upset.

Running out of ideas i tried something and it worked and i got back my 85%.

if you are having this problem always check the time and date and make sure that is correct. (that is key to this work around.)

then do the whole power down the console but holdin the power button and disconnect the power from the console.

At this point with no power going to console the press power button like it says in support. i wait for than 2 mins, i pressed and held the power a couple just to make sure like the support say.

Then power on the xbox and go right to setttings and check the time and date. if its not the correct time and date correct it.

When done go to setting and do a simple restart or start now. once the console is up and running. check the time and date again. if it is correct go load you game save some of them if not over-written should load.

It worked for me and i been dealing with this for months. and i got back my 85%

i know this is not best work around but if your tired of losing games saves pay attention the time and date on the console.
