Won't sign my account in when I try to load a backward compatible title up on my xbox one

The game is backwards compatible, however like I said the game just won't count my profile as signed in. (In detail) I'm signed in to my Xbox account, launch the game, then a screen pops up saying "loading Xbox 360 info" and then the game loads up, when I press start the game says, "Profile not signed in, progress will not be saved, please sign in" however when I use my father's account, the game allows his account to be signed into the game but his profile is transferred from an Xbox 360. If it keeps happening will getting Xbox live at least once help resolve the issue?

Does this happen with any other backwards Compatible game?

Does it say disconnected from xbox live as soon as you load up the game?

You said this is happening when you try and sign in on the 360 console itself also?

Try this on the One

1. Load up any backwards compatible game.

2. Hit the start and select buttons on the controller (small round buttons on either side of the big xbox button) This will load up the 360 guide.

3. Click on download profile.

4. Enter email and password for account

This should solve your problem.

This often applies when your profile is signed into Xbox One but not the Xbox 360 emulation used to play backwards compatible titles. When launching a backwards compatible title such as Borderlands, make sure you press the Menu and View buttons at the same
time to bring up the 360 Guide. If it notes "Connect to Xbox Live", then your profile is not properly signed in and will not record game saves.

I just bought an xbox one, the gears of war edition. I loaded GOW3 and it won't play it, gives an error code that isn't recognized when I plug it into the xbox error code lookup online. THEN I try to load in Blacks Ops and Black Ops II and get a notice
that they are not backwards compatible discs and to reference the listing of backward compatible games. and they are there. on the list. I wouldn't bought this thing if I knew it was going to be so much of a problem. It's been over 24 hours and I haven't
been able to play ANYTHING. I have a $300 white brick on the shelf below my xbox 360. Why won't this thing recognize supposedly backward compatible games?

Are you on the 360 and trying to download a 360 game, or are you on the One and trying to download a backwards compatible 360 title? When I am trying to download a backwards compatible title on my One I will get that message. I have found that if I go
on my 360 and download it, that then makes it appear in the Ready to Install section of my games and apps on my One console. Not sure why this happens, but it is a work around to make it possible to get it on my One without it telling me I can't do it.
