    Won't show up under external hdd


    I bought Battlefield 1 and downloaded it to my external hard drive and can play it no problem. I took my hard drive to a friends to play and it will not show up under external hdd yet all my other games do. When I got home it no longer was list under external
    hdd but I can launch the game from my home screen under my pins.

    Game is playable but not listed under external hard drive

    I found that if it's installed on external hard drive just go to store and click install it reads the hdd and detected the game

    Xbox Series S corrupting my external HDD.

    How else am I going to fix my external HDD if my Xbox won't even pick up on it? I get no pop ups when I connect it to the console and it doesn't even show it under storage.

    500 gb is indeed small. It's a shame we can't hook up a 2 terabyte external usb3 hdd... oh wait, Sony is the one that won't let you use external hdd, ms well let you. I prefer external to internal storage any way. It's more flexible.

    If your drive is showing up as needing a format, it's gone. There's no recovery to be done. Whatever recovery that may be possible via software, won't recover all of your files, which you need for your 360 to read them. Thumb drives fail quickly, I'd recommend
    an external HDD next time.
