    Won't let me redeem my gems for 10k rewards credits in Rewards Vault


    Hi,

    I logged into Xbox Rewards just a bit ago on my phone to check the status of the Vault's stock. I noticed it had the 10k rewards credits available, so I clicked on the link. After entering my name, e-mail, and username I clicked to continue but it told me
    something went wrong. Got onto my computer to login there and see if it was just a mobile problem but the same error occurred. What's going on? I really want to buy that item with my gems. I know I have more than enough for it. I also never bought anything
    in the vault before so I couldn't have hit the 2 per month limit for that particular reward either this month or last month. Please fix this! I really really want that reward!

    I am Unable to redeem gems for 10,000 reward credits

    I am trying to redeem my gems for rewards credits from the vault but am unable to.

    Gonna have to ditto the feeling. As soon as I saw the announcement I went to the vault to redeem. All that is left is freemium game currency and wallpapers, which I have no interest in either of those. I was trying to save up for another level’s reward
    but not now.

    I do not enjoy the thought of losing the value of my earned gems because I can’t redeem them for something that I would have used. 10k points is what my gems could have gotten me, but it’s looking like after the conversion I’m only going to get 500 unless
    more options are put into the vault.

    In my opinion, gems do have a real world monetary value because of the “rebates” one gets from buying games. A person could redeem 500 gems for 10k reward points which in turn could redeemed for $10.00 US. After the change the same 500 gems will only net
    you $0.50 US. This is an unacceptable devaluation.

    So please Microsoft, reinstate the gems for points options in the vault.

    Since you redeemed two 500 Gem Reward Credit prizes in the vault, you were charged 1000 gems.

    What's the difference between Microsoft Rewards points and Xbox Live Rewards Credits and MyVIP Gems?



    One Microsoft Rewards point is equal to one Xbox Live Rewards Credit. Microsoft Rewards points can be redeemed whenever you want for the rewards you choose from the Microsoft Rewards catalog, including Microsoft Store digital gift cards. Xbox Live Rewards
    Credits are automatically converted to your local currency every two weeks and deposited in your Microsoft account, while MyVIP Gems could be redeemed for items in the MyVIP Vault.

    Unfortunately, since the program has ended in your region, you can no longer spend Gems or use the MyVIP Vault. As stated in the transition FAQ:

    What will happen to my Xbox Live Rewards MyVIP Gems, MyVIP Perks, and MyVIP Vault?You’ll have until May 31, 2018 to earn MyVIP Gems and unlock any new MyVIP Perks. You’ll then have until June 15, 2018 to claim any open MyVIP Perks and to redeem any unused
    MyVIP Gems in your Xbox Live Rewards account for prizes from the MyVIP Vault. After this date any unredeemed MyVIP Gems will be converted to Microsoft Rewards points and can be used to redeem rewards from the Microsoft Rewards catalog once your membership
    is transitioned. One MyVIP Gem will convert to one Microsoft Rewards point.
