Wont let me change my account customization

Hello,



When I try to change my account privacy and & online safety I get "There's a temporary problem with the service. Please try again. If you continue to get this message, try again later."



I have tried much times and tried it a multiple times and still arent able to change my settings. This is going on for several days now. Please suggest on how to solve this.

Both the microsoft website and on the xbox, it wont let me change my account privacy and security keeps giving me the same message to try again later

Maybe there's a software glitch happening with your console.

I would try to powercycle the console or redownload your profile.

You can powercycle the console following the steps on this page:
How to restart or power cycle your Xbox One console

And the steps to redownload your profile can be found on the page titled

Give those things a try and let me know how that helped in resolution of your issue

I tried both of the methods and im still not capable of changing my account privacy and only safety, I keep getting the message saying "there's a temporary problem with the service. Please try again"

 

Have you tried a different browser for example if using Microsoft edge try google chrome on the PC?

Hey Steph is this a child account? If so go onto the parent account and it should allow the changes to go through. Check it out and keep us posted!

If all else fails I would advice to Request a callback from our support specialists they could further assist with the error at hand.

 

Yes it's a child account and I'm trying to make it a adult account but it's not letting me change the setting on the account or the parent account

So yeah, the only way for you to change a child account to an adult is to wait until the birthdate that you entered to designate it a child account becomes 18.
