Preface

Xbox will face a challenge in hosting an event without the E3 stage. Sony and Nintendo regularly hold digital events/showcases and are accustomed to this front. Xbox, while yes they hold digital events
every now and then, are much more accustomed to large crowded in-person events. Putting aside the obvious challenges of hosting an online event, Xbox also has to scrap all plans they had likely already begun to enact for their E3 showcase and start completely
over. Regardless, something will be shown off around the usual E3 timeframe from Xbox and here's what I'm hoping it could look like.

xCloud Announcement

With the release of xCloud around the corner, Xbox has a major advantage over Nintendo and Sony via mobile mindshare. That being said, to start the show Phil should announce the Windows 10 release with
a free download for those watching(perhaps through an on-screen code). He can lead hints that downloading now has benefits for later in the show.

Xbox Series X(S?)

A strong lead-off with next-gen console should be how the show starts off. Before this event there should most likely be a full Next-Gen showcase that shows off the power of the Series
X, and potentially a Series S console. With specs and numbers already out of the way, Xbox simply needs to show off any special models(Halo Infinite editions) and of course the price tag, possibly reiterate some of the key features, but focusing here too long
will become a snore fest since we've been talking about it for months at this point. From there the stage is set for a full showcase of games!

GAMES AND MORE GAMES

Without a full audience Xbox doesn't have to worry about audience reactions or any crazy wow factors to push forward. A full force barrage of upcoming games is all they need to drive home. They have the
more powerful next-gen console, but what games do you have for it?

While trailers and release dates for most of these will be more than enough, we will of course want some gameplay for each of them. Rather than celebrity appearances, have one of the devs come out and walk us through the first 5
minutes of the game. Or better yet, see the preferred option below.

Digital xCloud Festival

Something we've seen rise to recently is digital game festivals. Such as with The Game Awards 2019. Via steam, players were able to try demos for many of the games being shown off.

Cue xCloud. By now most people should have the app installed and set up. Something that can set Xbox apart is allowing players that have the xCloud app the ability to demo any of the games being shown off
during this showcase. Want to try Halo: Infinite? Here. 10 minute demo. Big Forza fan? Of course it's on there! Harnessing xCloud will not only allow people to see how great of a service it can be, but lets people interact with the show in an unprecedented
way.

The Initiative

With so many mysteries and rumors surrounding the world's first AAAA studio, Xbox has a huge opportunity to show something huge here. If the Initiative comes out with a game that's great, but they should
really push into making this a major keystone of the event. So long as what The Initiative has to show is worth blowing away gamers, then take advantage of it and prove that The Initiative was worth the wait.

Studio Acquisitions

To start to bring the show to a close, Xbox should round out the any of their new studio acquisitions and perhaps surprise game announcements from those studios. For instance it's been rumored that Matt
Booty has been in
the Scandinavian area looking at studios and a Japanese studio has been
strongly rumored for acquisition.

Conclusion

To end the show go with a huge recap. xCloud announcement, Series X price and date, game snippets, acquisitions. And hit home with the integration of xCloud into Game Pass ultimate and how it will work
with Series X.
