With Microsoft removing console companion, how do I change my pfp with custom picture on PC?

The website doesn't have an option for custom pfps and the xbox app has never had the option. I don't have a phone atm and I found a good picture to use instead.

The only option you have is to use a USB stick.

I feel like they might remove the option altogether, cos they clearly don't like people doing it. It's not like it wouldn't be trivial to add the option to the Xbox app on PC, yet despite people asking for the feature over and over again, they just have not added it.

I’m afraid to say that as the console companion app was discontinued, at the moment is possible to change our profile picture on the Xbox mobile app.

Hopefully, Microsoft will allow the PC users to change the profile picture for a custom one in a future update for the Xbox app.

I know this can be frustrating, but you can try asking a family member or friend, their phone temporarily, just to change your profile picture for the one you want.

You can change your custom PFP in the Xbox Companion app on your PC and the Xbox app on your phone. On the Xbox app and website so far we don't have the option to submit a custom PFP.

I know they enabled custom profile pictures but I can't change my alt accounts profile picture to a custom pfp cause it says I need an adult.

Hope you are well. I'll be glad to help you, just remember that you're not talking to a Microsoft employee.

You can change your custom image through a console or a PC if the Xbox mobile app gives you problems, if you are an Android user, you can download the "Xbox beta" app and test if the same thing happens there.

To do it on a PC, you must open the "Xbox Console Companion" app, select your profile > Customize > Customize your avatar > Choose a custom picture.
