with changed DNS my download speed so slow, like 4 mbps

I'm sorry that the download is very slow. What I can recommend is to change your DNS to the following.

1. Go to Settings > Network > Advanced Settings > DNS Settings
2. Primary DNS: 208.67.222.222
3. Secondary DNS: 208.67.220.220
4. Reset the console completely
To hard reset, Press the Xbox button for 10 to 15 seconds until the console turns off. Unplug it from the wall for 3 minutes, then plug it back in and turn it on.

My download speed is 1.20 mbps, is this too slow??

Took a couple of hours for me but depends on your connection speed.

Also your DNS settings can make a massive difference regardless of your download speed.

For instance my ISP is BT and their default DNS servers sometimes connect me to extremely slow download servers meaning a download that should only take minutes can take hours. If I change DNS then games can download as fast as my actual connection speed.

Using different DNS servers can sometimes speed up your download.

Other factors that effect speed are DNS.

Some ISP DNS servers send all customers to the same slow download server meaning you get congestion.]

I'm with BT in the UK and their DNS servers are pathetic. Not just for xbox one but for ps4 too. terribly slow download speeds for updates.

If you are with BT I highly recommend changing your DNS server to openDNS or googleDNS. May even help if you are with other ISPs too.

As a rule if downloads are slow for one game they will be slow for everything.

For instance. When Advanced warfare got a new pack and a title update once not only did the title update take hours to download but it took me 3 hours to download a system update. Seems that a popular download can bring the servers to a standstill.

I have a feeling there will be major slow downs when Fallout 4 is released and loads of people are downloading the day one patch. The slow downs wont just be for Fallout 4 they will effect everything.

This is where changing DNS can help as the ISP's DNS will send all it's customers to the same download servers causing congestion.

But a non ISP DNS like googleDNS, openDNS unblockus may send people to a less congested server meaning they get a faster download.

I don't use googleDNS personally. Only mentioned that because the IP address is easy to remember. I use unblockus but I know from experience that if I was to switch back to my ISP DNS I will have pathetic speeds when Fallout 4 is released but with my current
DNS I should get fairly fast downloads.
