Wish I never bought, unless....

So I bought this console after not having a 360 for a few years thinking, Great I've missed this.

I work on ships so pretty much buzzing to get off my shift and play all these games I downloaded.

Done all my updates, paid for live and game pass.

Set my console as my home xbox. Thought to myself right then. That's that sorted.

Got away at work signal is terrible if not non existent. And what does it say? Connect? Set your console as home xbox? You need to be online to play this title.

Even tried using the wired connection which is pretty much used to get emails, this sometimes allows me to open games but then I get the looking for saved games screen popping up or syncing your game.

I'm no longer able to return this console as I realised this while working at sea.

Is there a way around these problems? I mean seriously i just spent like 500 pounds on your products and feel like there has to be a way to get past the fact I can't play games on my gaming console?

I mean as I said I done everything I could to make sure it was up to date even have the discs with me and I'm still having no luck.

If there isn't a way around this I guess it my next buy will be a PS which I always was against but the ship has one and it seems to play every game that is put in.

So I've managed to get the game running, after a bit of time and a very poor connection. After I connected to confirm I pay for game pass I get to the title screen at this point and then I put the xbox in offline mode but my wired connection is still plugged
in wonder if it will disconnect me from the game if I unplug it again.

I'll see if this happens with the evil within tomorrow haven't managed to play that yet... as I'm we pay for Internet here as bad as that is 70 pound for 3Gb...

Have you tried telling it to stay offline? So it's not thinking it needs to look for online resources?

Currently all mine is used for is watching dvds and blu ray movies. This will change starting September onwards. Currently the Xbox 360 holds the game playing mantle.

To any of those who do regret their purchase of the Xbox One, remember you can always on-sell or trade towards a different console instead of whining about it, just a friendly fyi, haha.

Glad that is not the case though and you're enjoying yourself!
