Can you connect your cable box directly to the TV for testing purposes? Does the cable box provide a better picture when directly connected to the TV?

  3. HDMI Pass-through Question

Ok, so by now everyone on this forum should know about the Xbox One feature that allows you to connect your compatible HDTV cable/satellite box to the console in order to access channels with Kinect voice/move gestures and "snap" mode. I myself am not very
tech savy so I have a rather simple question about how to connect the two devices. So, my HDTV cable box has only 1 HDMI slot and it is currently connected to my HDTV so that I can watch HD cable TV. To access the added features of the Xbox One would I need
to disconnect my cable box from the TV and into the console or does the cable box need to have 2 HDMI slots to access these features? Thanks in advance!

    cable connection mandatory?

    No its not mandatory.

In fact it's your cable box that would be connected to the xbox but it is not mandatory.

The TV features are totally optional

    Xbox One Question

If you use the Time Warner Cable App can you snap live tv on the Xbox one using that app? Or does it have to be connected the cable box for the live tv snap feature to work?

I was thinking how this feature would work when your X1 is connected to your cable box because its going to have to be on now when watching tv.

    ? Xbox support 4K?

As stated, the cable in the box does support 4k@60, what brand of TV are you connecting with, it's usually in the settings? Also some TVs only support 'ALL' 4k features on HDMI 1, so maybe start there?
