Wireless Xbox 360 not working

Hi, there.

I recently bought a wireless Xbox 360 wireless control to use with my desktop PC. I also bouth a kit with the rechrgeable battery and USB cable. Windows 10 Device Manager was unable to automatically download the derivers, so I did it manually. Device Manager
says it's installed and working properly, it also appears under Bluetooth devices, but it doesn't actually work. It keeps flashing all fou green lights around the X button and won't do nothing else. I've spent hours searching for a fix on Microsoft support
forums, as well as many other reputable sites, like Tom's Hardware and acomplished nothing. Can you, please, help?

Was it the official Xbox 360 or Xbox One controller? For the Xbox 360 wireless controller, an adapter is required. For Xbox One, the original Xbox One controller will only work when wired. For the One S controller, you can connect it via bluetooth.

 

is there a way to make the tritton warhead headset to work with chat yet?

That's the wireless headset, right? The wireless chat will not be compatible; the protocol is different between the Xbox 360 and the Xbox One. No 360 wireless accessories will work with the One.

 

To help eliminate any possible hardware issues, try to use the controller on an Xbox 360 console.

If you still experience the problem, contact Xbox Support.

Sorry to hear you're having trouble with connecting your Xbox 360 controller to the PC. I have one I use with mine and I love it! In order for the Wireless Xbox 360 controller to work with your PC, it needs a wireless receiver. They are less than $10
and it is what allows the Xbox 360 controller to sync. The four flashing lights you are seeing on the controller is it looking for the receiver to connect with.
