Wireless Xbox 360 controllers to Windows 10

Hi

Im having trouble connecting my wireless 360 controllers to my "Wireless Adapter for Windows 10".

I have gone through the guides with no luck. I tried reconnecting them to my Xbox 360 and the controllers works just fine.

I cut the power to the xbox so the controllers wont reconnect to the xbox when im trying to connect them to my PC.

I've seen review on youtube where it just works seemlessly but i just cant connect mine

First i thought that the adapter were not compatible with the controllers, but then i saw on the product page that i can use "any Xbox Wireless Controller".

Then i thought it was the usb port. But i tried every port in my computer and it still wont work.

I have rebooted my computer several times but still no luck.

I dont know what to do next, please help me

Xbox 360 Wireless Controller Battery Status on Windows 10

Before updating to Windows 10, my computer was on Windows 7 and I was able to check the battery status of my xbox 360 wireless controller by touching the guide button, but it does not work in windows 10. ¿There is any way to check de battery status
of the xbox 360 controller on windows 10?

I have already tried these troubleshooting guides.

No luck in connecting the controllers.

I guess i need to send in the adapter then, it must be faulty.

The Xbox One Wireless controller with Bluetooth can be connected to a Windows 10 PC with a USB cable, Bluetooth, or with the Xbox Wireless Adapter for Windows 10, so yes, it can be connected via the adapter. The Xbox Wireless Adapter for Windows 10 is not
compatible with an Xbox 360 controller and will need the Xbox 360 Wireless Gaming Receiver for Windows. I'll provide the support articles with this information:

Hi,

There is no driver to download or update for Xbox 360 controllers on Windows 10. You just plug them in.

Note: Xbox 360 wireless controllers can not be turned into wired controllers. A 360 play and charge cable can only charge a battery or power the controller if no battery is present, it does not send data.

If you have a wired 360 controller just plug it in, no driver required
If your controller is wireless, you need an Xbox 360 Wireless Receiver for Windows.

That's a negative. You can use Xbox One controllers on an Xbox One console and using the newer

wireless adapter for Windows 10. The X360 controller is programmed to work on Windows PCs, but relies on its own 'Xbox 360 Controller for Windows Wireless Adapter'. These can be found cheaply, second hand. Here are some useful links, for you:

Hi,

Both wired and wireless Xbox 360 controllers work on Windows 10. Wired is just plug and play while wireless controllers need a receiver. I know 360 controllers work as I've used them on my own gaming PC running the latest version of Win 10.
