Wireless Repeaters/Range Extenders: Disconnecting from xbox live every hour

same here. have tried wired and wireless and no change. have talked to an xbox rep and they couldnt help either. i dont think it can be my actual service because my whole family uses the same connection on our phones/tablets/computers/etc. would be great
if xbox could actually help

The issue sounds like it's coming from the two routers communicating with each other, and then to your console. You may want to look into a

wireless repeater/range extender to boost your signal instead of using a second router. This will ensure that the secondary device is only extending the wireless signal to your console and not complicating it.

Is this error coming up on an Xbox one? Would you be able to clarify any steps done to troubleshoot this 'DCHCP' error.

I would suggest to follow the steps on
"I get an error message when I run the 'Test network connection' on Xbox One"

It will have the option to choose the error message that's showing up on the Xbox One, here you'll choose "Can't connect to your DHCP server" and from there it will continue guiding you.
