    Wireless Repeaters/Range Extenders: Are USB AC1600 2.4/5ghz wifi adapter dongles compatible with xbox one usb?
    Never of thought something as massive as xbox forums would catch deadforum syndrome, noone else appears to have their questions answered so at least i dont feel alone. back to glorified bumper cars then ispoze.

    would of thought livechat would know, instead of, "googlit yaself"...

    Can't get smartglass to connect

    I figured it out for me and hopefully it will help someone else. It was 2 things. One I had the old IOS app, downloaded the new one. Two my wireless network beams a 2.4 GHZ and 5GHZ channel. My phone was on the 2.4 and the Xbox was connected to the 5GHZ channel. I connected my phone to the 5GHZ channel wifi and now all is bueno.

    Also, at 10 metres indoors, the 5ghz signal may not be strong enough, hence the adapter only picking up 2.4

    You may want to check if your wireless is 2.4 or 5ghz combined.

    Most routers use 1 wifi network across both 2.4 and 5ghz frequency bands. This can be an issue. 2.4ghz has a further range than 5ghz, and if using 5ghz the signal may drop causing a disconnect.

    It should be possible via router wifi settings to separate the 2, effectively making your router have "2" wifi networks- one running 2.4ghz and one using 5ghz. They doing that, and connecting only via the 2.4ghz and see if the issue persists

    Internet Problems

    The Xbox 360 internal wireless adapters do not support 5Ghz wifi bands, only 2.4Ghz.

    The Black Xbox 360 external N wifi adapter supports 5Ghz.

    5Ghz may support higher bandwidth (only helpful for LAN transfers and fiber/gigabit connections) but 2.4Ghz has more range.
