This is the official default headset configuration:

No light: headset is off

Solid white light (when headset is in use): headset is on

Solid white light (when headset is charging): headset battery is fully charged

Blinking white light (slow): headset is in discovery mode (looking for an established connection); LED stops flashing when successful connection is made

Blinking white light (fast): headset is in pairing mode (looking for a new connection); LED stops flashing when successful connection is made

Solid orange light: battery is low

Solid orange light (fast): Battery charge is critical

Blinking orange light (slow): Headset battery is charging

Fast flickering between orange and white: headset is clearing current pairing information

I am having a similar issue. I downloaded a firmware update this past week. played with the headset on my xbox for a couple of hours no problem. Then went to use it with my laptop. It dropped the bluetooth connection a couple times randomly. then while trying to pair and unpair with the power button the headset just stopped responding. the light on the mic is on. But i can not turn off my headset or do a hard reset. it is just is unresponsive. definitely some issue with the software. When plugged in it also no longer has the orange blinking light indicating its charging. Really like these headphones i hope they are not bricked... I am going to wait until the battery runs out then try plugging it and and turning it on.

Just to clarify, are you using an Xbox Wireless Headset ?

If that's the case, a blinking white light can mean two things :

- a fast blink means that the headset is in pairing mode (it's looking for a device to pair with)

- a slow blink means that the headset is in discovery mode (it's looking for a device with which the headset has already been paired).
