    Whenever I connect either my headset or my controller separately they work completely fine. But about 5 minutes after I connect both to the same USB the audio starts going out and the xbox controller gets about 2 seconds of input lag.

    Hi, no it is not possible to connect a USB headset to the Xbox One. You have to connect a headset either wireless or using the 3.5mm connector on the controller or with the headset adapter.
