Wireless Gaming Adapters: My xbox live is gone

Is it possible that my wireless adapter has gone bad?

I think he's trying to use a disc for a wireless adapter but as far as my knowledge goes, there is no disc for the xbox wireless adapter. It's just plug and play.

Which adapter are you using? The external N adapter or internal one (the internal one does not support 5Ghz) there certainly were issues with that router for the Internet adapter

Well I have the latest XBOX and router firmware and I have a datel wireless adapter for xbox and a wireless to ethernet adapter for xbox. Both work because I have tested them on my laptop. Also my router is not on the not supported list.

I think the problem is that my router does not work with my xbox. I have run my xbox through my laptop to wireless and it works fine. The only difference between the setup i used for my laptop to wireless and my wireless ethernet adapter is that the adapter
takes on the name of the device it is connected to.

I know this sounds stupid but my xbox does not come up as a device on my router (ie it has no name) this could mean something.

Also my router firewall has been detecting port scanner attacks at the same time as I am testing XBOX live on my xbox when I had it connected to my wireless adapter or wireless ethernet adapter but not my laptop.
