    Wireless Gaming Adapters: Getting 100% high packet data loss - RESOLVED!


    Wireless Gaming Adapters: Getting 100% high packet data loss - RESOLVED!
    Testing multiplayer wireless connection and was getting an error message.

    Tried connecting Xbox One S to our **** wifi router/modem supplied by Xfinity and kept getting the error message "100 % high packet data loss".

    Tried all troubleshoot options and no success.

    Had Xfinity come and swap out the original **** router/modem with a Cisco router/modem and the issue was cleared.

    Don't know the difference between the two because both router/modems were similar just different manufacturer.

    High Packet Loss

    I get high packet loss at home my stats are dis 35.84 maps ups 1.87 maps packet loss 100% my 1452 latency nothing shows and 100% wireless strength I have try to reset modem and didn't work any thing else I could try

    Thanks for that info. Please see our Multiplayer Connection troubleshooting guide as it includes steps for issues pertaining to packet loss
    under "You have high packet loss". While your packet loss is not currently high, any packet loss can contribute to any network issues you're experiencing.

    You would not have any connection to the internet, let alone XBLive, if packet loss is 100%. Connection relies on the ability of packets, information data blocks, for lack of a better term, to recognise and acknowledge the data has been sent and received
    correctly, ie no corruption.

    Edit.. Data showing 100% packet loss has to be a result of local internal corruption of the processors, and would require a restart.

    Does the router support wifi? You may want to try wireless connection over the powerline adapter. If in you statistics there packet is loss that is high especially for what is considered to be a wired connection. latency is high as well for a wired
    connection.
