    There's a small button on the top of the controller and a button you must press on your console at the same time or close to the same time. See that page for more info.

    If you're having trouble, please turn off the console and unplug it for 30 seconds. That could make things work better as it clears cache.

    What happens when you try to pair it with your Xbox one? is it wireless or are you connected with a USB cord ?

    Also, I would like to add that in case you are having trouble connecting your wireless controller with your Xbox One... you can connect it with a USB cable and then unplug it.

    This will sync the controller with the console and avoid other wireless syncing issue you may have. :)

    That button is called the "Binding" button and is used to connect any extra wireless Xbox One controllers for the first time.

    Hey there!

    The controller could just need cleaned. Or perhaps the wireless is going out on the controller. Have you tried to wire it and see if the extra inputs still happen. Or another controller to see if it's the signal in the Xbox?
