Wireless Display won't connect to Xbox Series X

I have tested the above and had no luck. The closet I get is I connect both PC and Xbox Series X to the same WIFI (with both network cables unplugged) and I can see the XBOX as a wireless display to cast my PC. however, it attempts to connect, and the screen blinks and immediately says disconnected.

I have now been able to connect to the XBOX with my laptop, but still not able to connect through my PC.

My PC is showing as a wireless display capable device in the Drivers command "Wireless Display Supported: Yes (Graphics Driver: Yes, Wi-Fi Driver: Yes)"

I have further uninstalled Norton antivirus from my PC and reverted to windows antivirus.

surely I cannot be the only one with this issue?

Right, I am trying to have my Xbox Stream the image from my Laptop on to the Xbox. I used to use it all the time with my Xbox One, and I am able to connect to my other PC. But for some reason, I can't do this with my laptop.

Because it’s intended for tou to project the screen to your Xbox, not the other way. You need to use the local streaming feature in the Xbox apps that isn’t currently supported until the next version

Xbox One X not displaying any wireless networks, even though other devices are connected to the WiFi. I even reset the console but kept the games&apps. However, when restarting it still won't show any wireless-networks.

The Series X supports 1080P resolution in the settings same as Xbox One and One X. Games on Series X will still render in 4K, but will downscale to whatever display you have. There won't be any loss in quality at all.
