Wireless Adapter not seeing controller

I can't send you links from external sites but there is a video on YT with this title that I think will help you. The video has the driver that I believe is the most recent, in the download center I didn't find the same driver or the same version you mentioned.

Thank you. I just tried this and it rolled back the driver so no more code 10 but the issue with the controller is still occurring. I did notice the driver is on 1;0.46.1. Is that the latest driver available?

Uninstall the adapter driver and disconnect it from your PC. Go to Windows Update and look for updates, install optional updates too. Restart to apply updates, plug the adapter back in preferably into a rear USB port and see if that resolves the issue.

What you are seeing with the LEDs is an indication that the Xbox 360 Explorer controller is entering pairing mode, not working mode. In order for the controller to function on your PC, you must first pair it with the Xbox 360 Wireless Adapter.

Steps to pair the controller with the wireless adapter:

Connect the wireless adapter: Connect the Xbox 360 Wireless Adapter to a USB port on your PC.

Press the pairing button on the adapter: On the wireless adapter, there is a small button (usually near the USB port). Press and hold this button for a few seconds. The LED on the adapter should start blinking.

Turn on the controller: Press the Xbox button in the center of the controller to turn it on.
