    Wired Xbox One not showing on Xbox App on Android phone


    I recently completely reinstalled my Xbox one after a hard drive failure and have it all up and running and have the latest updates installed. I used to have the old Xbox smartglass app on my phone, but uninstalled it a long time ago. I went to the app
    store and found the latest xbox app (not xbox gamepass, just xbox), and am logged in with the same Microsoft account on the app and trying to connect it to my console, but it won't show up. The Xbox is already set up and functional, so I'm clicking the option
    to "add an existing console", but the only thing that pops up is instructions to log onto my console with the same Microsoft account. Well, I've already done that. I'm sitting in front of my TV on the Xbox dashboard logged in, but my phone never acknowledges
    anything. The Xbox is on a wired connection and my phone is obviously wireless, but they are on a common router. My computer will connect to the console fine (both are wired if that makes a difference). The old smartglass app used to let you search by IP
    address, but I see no option to manually enter any kind of info on the Xbox app on the phone. The only kind of option that gives that input is the "set up a new console" that asks for a 6-8 digit code, but my console is already set up so I don't have any
    code to enter. Can I really not have a wired Xbox talk to a wireless phone? That seems really short sighted as the wired connection is far superior to what I can get via wireless.

    I'm using a wired connection and the app connects to my One no problem. I'm using the android app and my phone is connecting via wireless to the network.

    Hey there,

    What kind of device are you using for the Xbox app (Windows 10, iOS, Android, Windows Phone)? Is your Xbox One showing up in the Xbox app to connect to, or is your Xbox One console not showing up within the Xbox app at all? We'll need that information so
    we can provide specific steps.

    If you're on Windows 10 PC, have you tried a wired connection for both your Windows 10 PC and your Xbox One console? That is the most reliable method for connecting the Xbox app to your Xbox One console, and the results of that will help us narrow the issue
    down further.

    Post back with that information so we can narrow the issue down! :)

    XBOX One Achievements not showing in my Profile.

    If you're talking about Xbox.com, Xbox One achievements do not show up on here yet.

    To see Xbox One achievements you will need to view them from an Xbox One console and/or the Xbox One Smartglass app (available for Windows 8, Windows Phone 8, Android & iOS).

    Also it should connect automatically to your console as long as you have it set to Connect to your console under the Settings on the app. And make sure that both your phone and the console are on the same WiFi. This is how it will automatically recognize
    it and connect, if that's what you'd like to do. :)
