Wired Xbox One controller acting weird on Xbox GamePass on PC Windows 11

The crashing of the game might have something to do when you put the settings to Ultra, which is not the best/optimal choice for your current build. It's best to stick with the Medium settings.

Hi! So to answer your questions, it does some of the same strange behavior on another game I tried on GamePass called High on Life, so it doesn't seem to be a Starfield only issue, and yes, I tried another controller and it acts the same exact way! I tried your suggestions and it seems like everything is already updated! Also I tried repairing and resetting the app, and nothing has changed sadly. Are there any other possible fixes? If not, I can just stream it on GamePass on the Xbox and just deal with the weirdness/lower graphical quality

So specifically making sure Steam isn't running in the background when using the Xbox app fixed the controller issue entirely in case anyone else has the same issue, and the most recent patch for Starfield fixed the crashing issue for the most part! I can run on medium setting with almost no crashing, even though it runs perfectly fine on ultra when it isn't crashing every couple minutes lol

So I believe I just figured it out! I'm not sure which one did it, but I used the task manager to end Steam just in case it was causing any conflicts for whatever reason, but also ended two "Xbox accessories" processes that were running, and then started up the Xbox app and the controller is back to normal! Thank you for the response though! Now to figure out how to get the game to stop crashing every 30 seconds or so
