Wired headset crackle still persists

It is not the headset itself creating the crackling noises, like I said in my post whenever I move the wire that connects to the block with the mute and volume options it crackles through the headset. It sounds like the wires are losing connection or they
are touching each other. Just wanting to know how to solve a problem like this as I am most likely going to open it up and rewire everything.

I remember having those issues lol. If your headset connects via head set adapter, update the adapter that should fix the issue. If it doesn't then buy an xbox one headset adapter it should come with a little wire you plug into your xbox so you can update
it's software and sync it to the console and from then on no more crackling will be heard. If you using an Xbox One x controller with a little headset port that's the best quality hearing your going to get with the crackling. Anyways its not so bad, to be
honest I wouldn't waste a dime on a headset adapter i would just sit back relax ignore the crackling and play my game. I hope this helps you.

I have the same issue, got mine in 2021 as a gift. After hearing the crackling I decided to keep them in the box for some time "maybe microsoft will fix it eventually in the next months" and keep using my wh1000xm4 wired, took it out of the box for playing some Rainbow six Extraction with my friends and the problem still persists.

Microsoft please fix it, it's not a cheap headset and it's the official (oh dear I can only imagine how buggy will be the "unofficial ones)
I will try the ethernet cable fix, good bye to my wireless workstation :/

Take it this is still an ongoing issue - since the update my basic headset mic is not working or working only sporadically with crackling and distortion. Are there any fixes?

I have the xo 7's and have the same problem. Whenever i scroll through the dashboard i hear a pop here and there. When I'm in like the title screen of destiny, I hear it constantly. Wirelessly, it stops the popping momentarily then it returns after a little
while. Wired, there is no stopping the popping/crackling. I tried plugging ipod earphones in to the adapter and the popping/crackling was still present. Which leads me to believe the problem IS the adapter. I also tried switching the wire, controller and yes
I did update my controller. I also tested my headset on my laptop and my phone. The sound is crystal clear. Microsoft find a fix for this!
