Wired drops connection every 30 secs or so

So I use my xbox on wireless usually however today I was messing and decide to try it wired instead to ensure a better and more consistent connection.

Or so I thought

Now it drops connection every 30 or so secs only for a few seconds but enough to get a disconnect from internet error?

Any ideas?

I use a virgin super hub 3 and on a std xbox one. If it's a pain I can just switch back to wireless but it's kinda bugging me lol

First, I would try a couple of basic steps. Try plugging the ethernet cable into a different port on your hub. If that doesn't work, you could also try swapping out the cable. You could always try a hard reset of your console or a reboot of your router/modem
as well.

Yeah I tried all that, tbh it did this before when I tried it wired when 1st had it and couldn't be bothered to sort it.

Just annoys me as I'm sure it's something simple but I'm really not tech savvy in that way

Thanks for the reply and update on the issue of getting randomly disconnected when using an ethernet cable. I recommend to try the following article:

"My Xbox One is getting randomly disconnected from Xbox Live".

Give this a try and let us know the results.

I'm currently using a wired connection, still disconnects for 20 sec and then reconnects... Is a constant thing and the weird part is that happens every 15 min or so, is not at random times.

I have tried putting it to factory default then trying to connect with wireless and wired but I can connect to the internet and not xbox live. It tells me to take out the modem for about 30 secs then put it back in and it still won't connect.
