Wired connection not working on Xbox Series S

No, it's not possible to use an Xbox One or Xbox Series X|S controller on an Xbox 360 even connected with a wire.

Wired connection for the Series X and wireless for the Series S. Doesn't seem to make much difference.

1. I did not receive an error message when I did Test Connection. When I do a test connection, it says I am connected to the internet. However, I cannot use any of the apps or games that use the internet when the wired connection is plugged in. If I go to test speed and statistics, all of the fields that are available say "Not Available".

2. I am able to connect wirelessly to this network. I would prefer to use the wired connection instead of the wireless connection.

Thank you for your response. Based on the details you provided it appears that the issue is with the Ethernet cable since the Xbox Console is working fine when connected through Wifi. What we highly suggest is to use a different Ethernet cable to see if there's any changes. However, if this issue still persists after using a different cable, we highly suggest trying these steps on the console.
Press the Xbox button  to open the guide.

1. Select Profile & system > Settings > System > Console info.
   
2. Select Reset console.
   
3. On the Reset your console? screen, Select Reset and keep my games & apps. Use this option as your primary choice when troubleshooting. It resets the OS and deletes all potentially corrupted data without deleting your games or apps.
