Wired connection fault?

I recently went to a wired connection from my router/modem and now I have to restart everything to get the internet back. Was perfectly fine on a power line adapter. I have 2 consoles with wired connection and 1 on a power line adapter. My 2 wired ones need restarting everything I turn them on. It also logs me out and won't log me back in until I do the restart

Hi Mathew!

It looks like to be a problem with your router. If possible, try to factory reset your router. You could as well set a static IP address instead on all of your devices because it could be an IP conflict.

Can you try a wired connection just to start? That way we can determine whether the issue is your console can't connect to the service, or whether there is a wireless fault.

If you have another headset (even a regular wired headset that comes with an Xbox, or a plain hands-free headset for an old cell phone) you can try that. If headset 2 also has the loose connection problem, then you know it's your controller at fault. If
headset 2 works, then try another controller. If controller 2 also has the loose connection problem then you know it's your headset's wire at fault.

The only fault that came up was on xbox store: service alert. Now I went from a wired connection to wireless and it stopped disconnecting. Bad ethernet cable then?

If you're sure the wireless adapter in your console is at fault, then it appears you've listed the only solutions: getting a repair, a new console, a wireless adapter, or setting up a wired connection.
