windows10 xbox live real name/voice chat

Hi, im afraid if i accept a friendship request my real name will be shown, how do i get to the options to avoid this?

next problem i have, is the ingame voice chat (sea of thives) i cant hear or talk to anyone, so far i used ts3, which is annoying.

what do i need to do, to activate/allow it?

Thank you for coming to the forums. I'd be happy to help.

You can set to block name sharing completely by going into your Xbox Live privacy settings and setting the option to share your name as Blocked. Follow this support article to help you with name sharing and how to block it:

Also as far as the chat issue in Sea of Thieves, I found a support article on their support site that walks you through how to set it up but I did also find two threads on Sea of Thieves forums and Reddit stating there are issues with the voice chat so you're
not the only one. For this matter you will need to get in contact with Rare. Here are the links for reference:

But on the Xbox Live Code of Conduct, it says the following.

Don't give out personal information of other players (such as their real name, address, phone number, credit card number, etc.) in any way (including, without limitation, through voice chat or the names you create for your gamertag or mottos). This information
could be used by other players for illegal or harmful purposes. You should also avoid giving out your own personal information.

Since my gamertag is my personal name (first name and last name) isn't that like giving out your personal information to other players?
