Windows Store Won't Let me Download Certain Xbox Related Apps and Games

I bought the Xbox game pass Beta to play 2 games. The Outer Worlds and Metro Exodus. Yet those seem to be the only two games that the Windows store wont allow me to download/install on my desktop. It works fine on my Surface, but obviously that's not a helpful
place to download those games.

When I go to the store pages for those 2 games, there is the box that says "You can play the Outer worlds with Xbox game pass or buy it to own," and then there is an Install button. The install button is a pale blue, instead of the normal darker blue colour,
and when I hover the cursor over it, it turns into a little red crossed out circle. This also happens when trying to download the Xbox app.

Other games work fine, like Sunset Overdrive and halo wars. It seems to be literally just the 2 games that I actually want.

I have tried reseting the windows store, updating windows, and restarting. Any other things I should try?

I am logged in with the same account as the xbox game pass. I did not purchase the "ultimate" subscription, only the standard one, which as I understand it, should include all of the games. But as I said, I can download the games on my surface,
but not my desktop.

The standard Game Pass only works on the Xbox console. the only games that work on the Pc are "Play Anywhere" titles, which are none of the ones you are trying to access.

The answer you received from 'support' has to be [Mod Removed - Profanity] as I was playing The Outer Worlds with the beta GAMES FOR PC xbox pass. It works fine on my personal laptop, but have run into the same issue you have encountered
trying to install it onto a newer machine. I'm currently updating my settings to see if it will allow the game to be installed. If it doesn't, then its a pretty poor miscommunication on availability for games on the GAME PASS if top titles such as The Outer
Worlds is removed after the first months roll out.

If I get more information on making it work I'll let you know

Edit: After updating my computer from the game pages requirements tab near the bottom I was able to download the games again. I hope a solution comes your way!

Okay, well I cancelled the standard subscription and upgraded to the Ultimate subscription, and it still doesn't work. Now what?

Also I cant tell if you work for Microsoft or not, but if you do, you should really make it clear on the windows store that the standard subscription doesn't work on PC. Especially because it is literally called XBOX GAME PASS FOR PC.
