Windows store not working

    Windows store not working


    Every time I go onto the Microsoft store on my Xbox one S It comes up and says 'Apologies, our service is not working at the moment' then takes me back to the home screen. This has been happening for around two days now and I don't know of anyone with
    the same problem. I have tried what the console told me to do 'go to https://support.xbox.com' but the assistant bot said it had technical difficulty's, so I clicked on the speak with a real person thing and I couldn't connect. I am not sure how to fix this
    and was wondering if any one has or had the same problem.

    Hey Unjailed thanks for taking the time to bring this issue to us.

    We apologize for this particular inconvenience but we have had some
    Xbox Live Status Alerts affecting these services. They have, however, been cleared out so what could be happening is leftover information
    on the console is obstructing the performance. We suggest clearing out the consoles caches since when they get full might cause this type of errors.

    How to clear Game Cache on the Xbox One:

    Settings

    System

    Storage

    Clear Local Saved Games

    Yes and Restart



    To clear the Network Card Cache (alternate MAC address)

    Settings

    Network

    Network Settings

    Advanced settings

    Alternate MAC Address

    Clear and restart

    IF THE CONSOLE IS CONNECTED TO THE INTERNET no progress or purchase data will be lost, what we accomplish by doing these steps would be to resync the profile to the cloud getting rid of any corruption as a byproduct.

    No, game saves our only compatible with the platform they are created on. So steam saves only work with Steam, Windows Store w Windows Store etc

    I am having this problem as well. The Windows store is telling me that it does not work on this device. I have already tried resetting the Windows store.

    You will never get help from support. Don't spend any money in the Windows Store for anything. You might as well wait until the get Windows 10 fixed and useable. I heard a big update is on the horizon. They may be removing some things to get ready for
    the download. My windows store worked fine in Windows 8.1 as did games. I had the Microsoft free Solitaire Collection working for about a month and it disappeared. Store never worked.
