A local account on Windows is a type of user account that is used directly on a single computer without the need for network authentication or a connection to a Microsoft account. This means your settings, files, and preferences are stored only on the local machine, and you do not have access to various Microsoft services or the ability to sync your settings across devices unless you sign in to individual services separately.

To check if you're using a local account on Windows 11:

1. Open Settings: Click on the Start button and select the Settings icon (a gear shape), or press on your keyboard.Windows + I
   
2. Access Accounts: In the Settings window, click on the "Accounts" section on the sidebar.
   
3. Look at Your Account Information: Your account information will be displayed in the main pane. If you're using a local account, it will say so under your account name. If it mentions an email address under your name, you are using a Microsoft account instead.

Are you logging on to Windows using a local account without a password? Generally, if you are using a local account, you will be asked to enter your last local account password to use Microsoft products. If you have not set a password for your local account, please select "Yes" when you log in without entering a password.

this is what happens every time when I log into my old account on the Minecraft Launcher, Im on a new account right now and Im trying to get into my old account through the Minecraft Launcher
the first screenshot is what they say before me typing in my password
the second screenshot is what they say after me typing in my password
keep in mind that the second screenshot appears whenever I don't have a pin, and when I made a new pin, it just said "pin incorrect"
