Windows Defender detected a Trojan while instaling Forza Horizon 5 from Xbox App

Hello Josef, the problem is it appeared when I was downloading Forza Horzion 5, I did a reaserch and I found another post about it and Xbox Ambassador saird it is a bug and It's not a real virus and we should pass it. I don't download any suspicious programs from some websites and I don't know what to do.

P.S. I downloaded subnautica too but It was all clear but I have problem with this one car file in Forza

I deleted a file and scanned my PC with another anty virus and IT said is all great about my computer. I think maybe windows Defender was bugged od smth, I use firewall etc. soo idk, I think everything od great.

P.S. this person i did mention had a same problem but with a diffrent car so maybe it was just a bug

Its strange, the false positive bug was fixed couple updates ago.

If you don't mind, can you try reinstalling the game to see if you're able to see the same message in Windows defender?

And just to double check, did you tried running the offline scan?

Or if you want to cover everything from your side, try performing a custom installation for your system (you can recover personal files, but you may need to reinstall most of the apps and games)

Exists the possibility that you already have a Virus in your PC and it tried to gain administrator privileges via Xbox app

Because all games and apps available on the Microsoft store are scanned to avoid malware and virus
Try doing an offline scan for your device using Windows defender
