Windows 11 Virus and Xbox One Controller connected - can it infect controller?

Oh okay. I just thought that e.g. if I had a virus on the Windows, plugged Xbox Controller through USB, that then the virus could move onto Controller and then keep infecting other devices from Controller (just like USB Key)... You know, I did read that Xbox Controller is able to be updated, so I thought that it's like any device then that the virus could easily get there. I'm not so much aware of Xbox Updating, so... Or is it that Xbox itself update the Controller and not Windows? I'm confused as actually I know that normal old printer or scanner wouldn't get virus by plugging it to the infected PC, as there's nothing to infect (when it's not a WIFI model though)...

Yeah I might be a bit over sensitive for safety of my devices Just don't wanna mess around and end up Xbox infected too, or plugging Controller to other PC and get the other PC infected too... As there's a Cloud Gaming and I heard that you can connect Xbox Controller to Android too... Would be terrible to get all of devices infected...

But what about the Xbox Controller Updates? That's why I don't really get it, if it would maybe transfer virus by updating on Windows?

The only person who can say with more authority are the engineers who designed it, and they don't read or post here, nor would they likely be allowed to comment if they did.

Again, the immense amount of trouble to make it work, if such a thing were possible, simply isn't worth it when people click on infected banner ads of their own free will
