Windows 11 Game Bar Mic Issues -need help

Just to clarify, are you having trouble using your mic specifically in Xbox Game Bar? If you are seeing an error message, could you share that here?

When you mentioned the Game Bar is missing under Settings > Privacy & security > Microphone, I think that is as expected. I also don’t see Game Bar listed there on my end either (Windows 11 Pro). Typically, mic access for Game Bar is controlled through the Xbox toggle in that same menu.

Been having the same problem for just as long. This is definitely some kind of Windows 11 and Xbox game bar issue. Audio is perfect in every other app but the game bar.

-windows 11

-checked the windows store and the game bar doesn't need to be updated

-checked the app settings to see if the notifications where off, it was all on, should be working but it isn't

Thanks for your suggestions. Unfortunately, nothing seems to solve this problem, and from what I have gathered it's currently an issue with Game Bar in Windows 10. In the current version of Windows 11, there is an option in Game Bar settings to show PC activity. Hopefully Microsoft addresses this in a future update for Windows 10.
