Windows 11 casting to Xbox One

When using the cast functionality (Win+K) to cast to Xbox One, windows will connect and immediately disconnect. Opening the Wireless Display app on Xbox One will reveal 'XboxOne' as a display to connect to on Windows. I am able to cast to other display devices such as my smart TV. I am also able to cast other windows devices such as my laptop to the Xbox One Wireless Display app. What can I do to prevent the cast function from immediately disconnecting from the xbox?

I am not ready to upgrade to windows 11. Cast has always worked on windows 10 and now after an update to the Xbox Console (to replace groove music with Windows Media Player) cast no longer works. Note, this isn't isolated to my windows 10 devices. No UPnP devices (Android, IOS, etc) are able to cast to the Xbox One console.

It's funny how we experience a problem and someone already has had it, too!

No, I'm sorry. No one was able to offer a working solution for my case. I ended up using a laptop connected via hdmi and a program called Parsec to play my PC game in a different room

Yes both the PC and xbox are fully up to date, PC has been restarted. Xbox app has been reinstalled and restarted. The PC casts fine to other devices and the Xbox receives casts from other devices.
