    Windows 10 Xbox PC app no longer runs in the background


    Current beta of the Xbox PC app no longer runs in the background and no tray icon appears even while running. Checked app settings to be sure they were correct. Unticked the boxes, restarted the Xbox app and reticked them. Still nothing. I have this issue on 2 completely different PCs.

    Will not download new puzzle pks.

    For me the solution was to switch on "Let apps run in the background" in the Windows settings (in Windows 10 it's Windows Settings->Privacy->Background apps), for Microsoft Jigsaw,

    Microsoft Store and Xbox. Before that, I couldn't download anything; afterwards everything started to work properly.

    Can't customize avatar

    if you're running windows 10, there is an Xbox avatars app in the microsoft app store now, since the "games" app has changed to the "xbox" app which no longer has avatar editing support native. Good luck though, a few people I've seen online, myself included,
    are having issues editing our avatars anywhere, be it on the PC, the xbox system, anywhere.
